Should I buy?

After reducing the size of its portfolio a few years ago, the fund’s holdings have grown again. Yet he maintains his upward tilt with larger positions in the top few bets accompanied by a long tail of modest holdings. Apart from its usual growth bias, the fund manager is not averse to taking contrarian bets in the portfolio. The fund went through a prolonged lean phase between 2017 and 2020, but performed well last year. However, it has fallen again this year, lagging significantly behind its index and its peers. With the fund struggling to free itself from its shackles, it can be avoided for now.
