Link PAN to Aadhaar now to continue investing in mutual funds

Investors must link their Aadhaar to their PAN no later than March 31, 2022, according to a 2017 amendment introduced by the government. The PAN card will become inoperative if not linked to the Aadhaar by March 31, 2022. As a result, the KYC status becomes void.

Quantum Mutual Funds has sent an email notification to its investors asking them to bind PAN-Aadhaar or most investment-related activities will be stopped. To invest in mutual funds, investors must have a valid PAN. If the PAN becomes invalid due to lack of connection to Aadhaar, investors will not be able to invest in mutual funds.

Quantum Mutual Funds said in the press release: “It’s not just investors’ mutual fund investing that will come to a halt, but if you fail to link your PAN and Aadhaar, most of your investment-related activities will be stopped. New investments or redemptions will be prohibited. Previous and ongoing Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) will also be finalized.

A valid PAN is required to invest in mutual funds. Investors will not be able to invest in mutual funds if their PAN becomes invalid due to unlinking to Aadhaar.
