mutual fund news: How can I invest more in Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund?

I have been investing in Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund for a year and a half. I am satisfied with its performance and want to invest more (sort of an annual increase). I am an aggressive investor with a time horizon of more than ten years. Since the AMC has a monthly limit of Rs 2,500, how can I invest more in the same fund? I don’t want to invest in any of its peers because this fund has far outperformed them all.

Another question I wanted to ask is: do investors need to be more careful with these funds that have a capped investment limit? Why does an AMC limit investments in such a successful fund? Can AMC close this type of fund in the future?

First, you cannot invest more than Rs 2,500 via SIP in Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund. The fund house reduced the SIP limit to 2,500 from 25,000 two years ago. It also does not allow lump sum investments.

Second, Mirae Mutual Fund limited entries into the plan because it believed that a higher AUM or assets under management would have a negative impact on plan performance. That is why he limited lump sum investments, later even reduced SIP investments. Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund shows consistent performance in the large and mid cap category. You don’t have to worry about the fund house closing the program.
