The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), as reported by LetsGoDigital, has unveiled Samsung’s patent documentation for a very interesting development – a holographic docking station for a smartphone.
The device is a special case, placed in a cell phone like a slider. The result is a bunch of smartphones and a special platform with a frame in one of the side parts.
And it is in the region of this frame that holograms are formed, which look like they are floating in the air above a cellular device. The system can display time and date, various notifications, information about reproduced musical compositions, images, etc.
over, the user will be able to interact with the hologram by analogy with the touch screen. For example, you can pause music playback, switch tracks, scale images, etc.
The design of the system involves the use of a translucent mirror and a special reflective element.
Unfortunately, nothing is reported in the release dates for the commercial accessory with the described design.
